This Privacy Policy explains how Polara ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use the Polara pole practice journal app.
Information the App Handles
- Practice data, including trick progress, training sessions, planned sessions, duration, notes, studio names, custom tricks, featured moves, onboarding answers, persona quiz results, and related preferences.
- Profile data, including your locally entered display name, avatar image selected from your photo library, app language, achievements, and progress state.
- Purchase information provided through StoreKit, including product identifiers and verified subscription or lifetime purchase status used to unlock paid features and restore purchases.
- JSON backup files you choose to export or import. Backups may include practice data, profile data, custom tricks, app preferences, and onboarding data.
- Calendar data, if you enable calendar features. The App may create, update, delete, or read Polara training events in Apple Calendar.
- Photo library data, if you choose an avatar or custom trick image. The selected image is copied to app-owned local storage and is not uploaded by Polara.
- Technical and diagnostic information that Apple or the operating system may process as part of App Store distribution, purchases, and platform services under Apple's policies and your device settings.
How We Use Information
Polara uses information to provide its practice, profile, recommendation, onboarding, purchase, backup, and optional calendar features; save progress and preferences locally; verify paid access; restore purchases; and maintain App reliability.
Local Storage
Polara stores App data locally using device storage and the App's document directory. This includes practice sessions, trick progress, custom tricks, studio names, onboarding answers, language preferences, local profile data, managed images, and JSON backup files.
Deleting the App or clearing local App data may permanently delete this information unless you exported a backup first.
No Account or Sign-In
Polara does not require an account, username, password, email address, or Sign in with Apple. Your local profile is not a cloud account and is not used to identify you across devices.
Purchases and Subscriptions
Polara may offer paid features through Apple in-app purchases. Apple processes payments and purchase records. The App uses StoreKit to display products, request purchases, verify current entitlements, unlock paid features, manage subscriptions, and restore purchases.
Polara does not operate a purchase server and does not receive your full payment card number. Deleting local App data does not cancel an Apple subscription. Subscriptions must be managed through your Apple account.
Photos
If you choose to set an avatar or add an image to a custom trick, Polara asks for photo library permission. Selected images are copied to app-owned local storage and are not uploaded by Polara.
Calendar
If you choose to use calendar sync, Polara asks for calendar permission. The App may create a "Polara" calendar and add, update, delete, or read Polara training events for sync and import features. Calendar access is optional.
Backups and Sharing
If you export a JSON backup, Polara creates a file on your device and opens the system share sheet. You choose where to send or store that file. Once shared with another app or service, that third party's privacy practices apply. Backup files may contain personal practice information, so keep them private.
Platform Services
Polara relies on Apple platform services for App Store distribution and purchases, StoreKit, device permissions, Photos, Calendar, the system share sheet, and platform diagnostics. Apple's handling of information is governed by Apple's privacy policies and your Apple account and device settings.
Expo and React Native provide software components used to build and run the App. Polara does not use those frameworks as a production account, analytics, advertising, or cloud-storage service.
Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking
Polara does not include third-party advertising SDKs, third-party analytics, or cross-app tracking for advertising. Polara does not sell your personal information.
Data Retention and Deletion
Locally stored data remains on your device until you delete it, clear local App data, delete the App, or overwrite it by importing a backup. Purchase records may be retained by Apple according to Apple's policies and legal obligations.
Your Choices
- Decline or change optional Photos and Calendar permissions.
- Export a JSON backup before deleting the App or clearing its data.
- Delete local App data from the App's Settings screen.

Children's Privacy
Polara is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Security
We use reasonable technical measures appropriate for a local-first mobile app, including app-owned device storage. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your device passcode, Apple account, and exported backup files.
International Users
Information handled by Apple platform services may be processed in countries or regions where Apple operates. That processing is governed by Apple's privacy policies and applicable law.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and provide additional notice where required.

购买与订阅

如果你选择设置头像或为自定义动作添加图片，Polara 会请求相册权限。所选图片会复制到 App 管理的本机存储中，Polara 不会上传这些图片。
日历
如果你选择使用日历同步，Polara 会请求日历权限。本 App 可能创建名为“Polara”的日历，并为同步和导入功能添加、更新、删除或读取 Polara 训练事件。日历访问是可选的。
备份与分享
如果你导出 JSON 备份，Polara 会在你的设备上生成文件并打开系统分享面板。你可以自行选择保存或发送位置。备份一旦分享给其他 App 或服务，将适用该第三方的隐私规则。备份可能包含个人练习信息，请妥善保管。
平台服务
Polara 依赖 Apple 平台服务完成 App Store 分发与购买、StoreKit、设备权限、照片、日历、系统分享和平台诊断。Apple 对信息的处理受 Apple 隐私政策以及你的 Apple 账户和设备设置约束。
Expo 和 React Native 提供用于构建和运行本 App 的软件组件。Polara 不将这些框架用作生产环境中的账号、分析、广告或云存储服务。
分析、广告与跟踪
Polara 不包含第三方广告 SDK、第三方分析或用于广告目的的跨 App 跟踪。Polara 不出售你的个人信息。
数据保留与删除

安全
我们采用适合本地优先移动 App 的合理技术措施，包括 App 管理的设备存储。但任何存储或传输方式都无法保证绝对安全。你应妥善保护设备密码、Apple 账户和导出的备份文件。
国际用户
Apple 平台服务处理的信息可能会在 Apple 运营所在国家或地区进行处理。相关处理受 Apple 隐私政策和适用法律约束。
政策更新
我们可能不时更新本隐私政策。如发生重大变更，我们会更新“最后更新”日期，并在法律要求时提供额外通知。
